UNGA 81: official event on the Girls in Energy Village
Powering progress through local action as intersectionality — DoTheDream YDI at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, DoTheDream Youth Development Initiative convened an official event on the Girls in Energy Village — an ecosystem where youth-led science, technology and innovation open up the value chains of the modern energy economy to young women.
The theme, Powering Progress Through Local Action as Intersectionality, carried the organisation’s core conviction: global climate and energy goals are only met when they are localised, and when girls move from the periphery of the energy sector to its frontline.
